Supporting Yurika on the Tarong BESS Project

SB Hire & Sales is proud to partner with Yurika as a trusted equipment hire and sales provider for the Tarong Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project, which commenced in July 2023.

This groundbreaking project will deliver up to 300MW of storage capacity over a two-hour duration—enough to power approximately 101,000 homes. At the heart of the BESS plant is a fleet of 164 Lithium-ion Tesla Megapack 2XL Units, making it a key milestone in renewable energy infrastructure.

As the largest project SBHS has been involved with to date, we collaborated with key partners in the hire industry to provide a complete site facilities setup for Yurika. Our contributions ensured a comfortable and efficient working environment for the team, including:

-Ablution blocks, site offices, and fully fitted lunchrooms
– Hire of essential equipment, including EWP’s of various sizes, telehandlers, forklifts, rollers & compaction equipment and excavators

– Cable pulling equipment

– Lighting Plants & Dust Suppression

This project has been a significant opportunity for growth and development at SB Hire & Sales, allowing us to expand our capabilities and strengthen our position in the industry.
